Traffic Safety Reminder

Dear faculty, staff, and students,

According to the University's traffic accident statistics, traffic accidents on and off campus are more likely to occur during the final examination period and dormitory move-out season due to factors such as fatigue, lack of concentration, and improper vehicle control.

To ensure your safety and the safety of others, all faculty members and students are reminded to observe the following guidelines:

1. Motorcycle and Vehicle Safety

Please drive or ride at a safe speed and remain alert to surrounding traffic conditions. Do not speed or overtake illegally.

Slow down when approaching intersections, yield to pedestrians and other vehicles, and obey all traffic signs and signals.

Speed-reduction facilities are installed throughout campus and along the outer ring road, including speed tables (near Dong Hwa House) and speed humps (near Jincui Bridge). Please reduce your speed and proceed with caution.

During dormitory move-out periods, do not place excessive or heavy luggage on the front seat or footrest of a motorcycle, as it may affect vehicle balance and lead to loss of control or accidents while turning.

2. Bicycle Safety

Bicycles should be equipped with front and rear lights. Riders must turn on their lights when cycling at night.

When riding at night, it is recommended to wear brightly colored or reflective clothing. Reflective stickers may also be attached to bicycles to improve visibility.

Ride on the right-hand side of the road and do not ride side by side with others to ensure your safety and that of other road users.

Traffic safety is everyone's responsibility. Please follow traffic regulations, maintain safe riding and driving habits, and work together to create a safer campus environment while completing your final examinations and dormitory relocation activities safely.

Follow the Rules, Protect Lives, and Arrive Safely
