Qualifications and Tenure of Appraisal Committee Members:
Each regional appraisal committee appoints six members, selected by the Directorate General of Highways (referred to as "the Bureau" below). Members serve a two-year term and may be reappointed once.
1.At least half of the members must be scholars specializing in transportation management (transportation planning, traffic management), traffic (road) engineering, vehicle (mechanical) engineering, or law.
If no scholars are available in the specified areas, qualified high school (vocational) teachers in related fields may be considered.
2.Engineers with certifications in civil (traffic, road) engineering or mechanical (vehicle) engineering, or experts with professional credentials in law, traffic enforcement, or highway supervision may also qualify.
If a member vacates their position during the term, a replacement may be appointed to serve until the original term ends.
